Field Hockey

The kids had a scrimmage yesterday. Pictured here is one of the best female players on the team. She's an incredible athlete in all sports. Her name is Jyoti. We all enjoyed watching them play. They don't have lines on the field. No circle, no box, no corner, no half field line. Only the perimeter. So it was hard to explain to others what the rules are when there are no marks to go by. Babaji knows the game well and drew a little diagram on his pad. It helped a little. Mostly we just cheered. Some of the older girls on the sidelines picked out their favorite male players to cheer on. I taught two of the little girls the concept of cheerleading for their school. They mostly just giggled through the cheers and wanted me to physically move their arms through the motions.
